Re: Any guess how this will affect RMBS stock?

The rambus longs are a pretty squirrely bunch, and often don't react logically to news, so be careful. I'm holding a few January Rambus puts, I'm not sure I'd recommend the strategy to others.

The whole Rambus story is now the blackmail lawsuit - if they pull it off, I think Rambus will rise, at least for a while. If the lawsuit starts to look hopeless, Rambus will be a single digit stock pretty quickly.

More confirmation that RDRAM is pretty much dead may knock the stock down a couple of steps Monday.

Good luck whatever you decide to do,

Regards,

Dan

Milo, the official Intel data was entertaining, but not exactly news, as it's what tomshardware & anand had shown months ago. Well, on the overclocked BX anyway, tomshardware showed the similar 815 results as soon as it was available.

Why should it make any difference with Rambus? Nothing's holding that one up except for the patent scam, that became fairly clear when the 820 sales figures came up in conjunction with the MTH recall. Of course, the Rambus types will blather on at great length about the alleged technical merits, but most of their "good news", aside from the patent scam, is random recycled garbage from months ago.

Cheers, Dan.
