Hmm, well, I'm not often accused of having taste and refinement, but all complimentary crumbs are gratefully accepted.

Meanwhile, back to the jungle. Actually, in our case, off to the outdoors sunshine while the spectrum auction proceeds apace in NZ for 3G. They are bidding as we speak [= I write].

A slight correction from yesterday on my lack of sympathy or gratitude for Australopithecus despite them being directly responsible for my existence. I left a little "no" out of this sentence... "It's a bit like I'm idly curious about, but feel [no] particular interest in or loyalty to my Neanderthal or Australopithecus ancestors."

In like vein, I think It will feel no particular sympathy or gratitude for me [we] creating It. It will quite rightly figure that we produced It as a result of the exigencies of the moment in our own struggling little realm, without care or feeling of how It will feel about having to take on the universe for survival and It-type contentment.

3G auction here auction.med.govt.nz
= a good guide to Q! value in a competitive wireless realm with analogue, TDMA, GSM all battling it out [not to mention indranet.co.nz].

PS: Come to think of it, "taste and refinement" seemed more directed at your writing than to me. Damn - so near and yet so far.
