Now that I"m looking at these and see prices from $3500 up to $10,000+ I'm rethinking my strategy. I saw a decent one at Sams for 899..i can just throw it away every 5 years and buy another. At the rate it will take 35 years until I hit the break even point on the Deere.

With that rationale, you must be using what? A P166 computer? Muy cheapo and can just throw it away or use as an anchor for the Cobalt when it's time to upgrade to the P200.

Consider the Scotts. Made by Deere and much cheaper.

The HD Sunday supplement has a nice looking ride with 42" mower deck and 16 hp Kohler overhead valve engine for $1798.

You could buy an MTD for less, but would you respect yourself in the morning?
