Thanks for that Nasdaq100 site. It shows how the Nasdaq100 index differs from the S and P 500 (or 100). Obviously the Nasdaq100 is not just market weighted although I believe it is a big factor.

I still think the S and P selection committee are in a bind and it is getting worse for them. They are hoping they don't have to add a 200 billion market cap company someday. The largest I remember were about 50 billion. Right now they appear to be using the negative "EBITA" as the main reason for not adding JDSU. It clears everything else including being an American corporation. I guess S and P wants to hold out hope for a big decline.
IMHO, the potential upside for this stock given an addition to the S and P is huge, given its very large market cap. As we add the last quarter's revenue and earnings to the current totals. The ones dropped will be the June 99 quarter (which had a low revenue number--as it had only had the Uniphase results and nothing of JDS Fitel is included). That will only make the case for adding it stronger ---as well as having a year pass since the big merger of the two companies.

I am convinced that it is upward for this stock going forward.

good luck.
