VoIP Telecom, Inc.(OTCBB:VOPT) Announces Significant Value-Added, 'Last-Mile' Feature for Existing Networks (Enters Agreement for VoIP Application of High-Speed Wireless Technology With Potential Global Implications) The Board of Directors of VoIP Telecom, Inc. is pleased to announce an Agreement with GoldWeb Technologies, Inc. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Consolidated Gold Win Ventures, Inc.) whereby - subject to due diligence - VoIP Telecom will acquire from GoldWeb a license to use a ground-breaking, wireless technology in VoIP networks currently being launched by Company subsidiaries in select regions of the globe. "The acquisition of this 'last-mile' solution constitutes a significant opportunity for VoIP Telecom to provide what we believe constitutes a value-added feature for our existing networks, one that can also be expanded into a variety of other applications," said Company President A. 'Sandy' Anderson. "Through the capabilities of a wireless broadband facility, we intend to represent the leading edge in the next generation of Internet convergence with telecom. This will enable our Company to deliver all existing forms of telecommunications, in addition to alternatives still under development, without being confined to high-speed Internet service alone," he stated. In some countries, to deliver VoIP network services it is necessary for the Company to be its own Internet Service Provider (ISP). According to Mr. Anderson, "Company projections indicate that, subject to deployment without undue regulatory delays or unforeseen impediments, this new technology is capable of enabling VoIP Telecom to realize revenue increases of up to 10 per cent over the US$50 Million already projected for the first year of our VoIP network operations, and contingent upon maximum utilization of existing equipment. Moreover, we expect the scope and size of this additional revenue source to increase substantially, due to the growing, exponential worldwide demand known to exist for wireless technology applications." Under the Agreement, VoIP Telecom will pay GoldWeb Technologies U.S.$300,000 plus the issuance of 5,000,000 restricted common shares of VOIP per developed site for a total of 15,000,000 restricted shares having a one-year hold. GoldWeb Technologies will issue a license awarding exclusive rights under which VoIP Telecom can use GoldWeb's wireless technology (patent pending), in three designated sites. This exclusive license initially will enable VoIP Telecom to deploy the technology in Korea, Singapore and India, beginning during the next fiscal quarter. In addition, the license will provide the Company the right of first refusal, at no additional cost, for global deployment of the technology. These technology rights deliver a high-speed, high-bandwidth wireless solution, making it possible for subscribers to transport data at speeds that enable numerous residential and commercial applications never before possible. The wireless subscriber enjoys the convenience of mobility at a higher data transport speed for a price comparable to existing cable and telco solutions. Furthermore, the next generation of net appliances will deliver functionality to subscribers that will drive the demand for this kind of wireless service. Communication with subscribers through this proven wireless, license-free, frequency hopping, spread-spectrum technology, enables the delivery of Internet and other high-speed data dependent applications. The wireless networks operate in the license-free 2.4 Gigahertz (Ghz) band. This FCC and ETSI certified solution provides direct high-speed wireless access to the Internet and Intranet. Internet Service Providers and major long-haul fiber optic carriers can now use wireless distribution to rapidly and cost-effectively deploy local loop or 'last mile' connectivity. GoldWeb has already proven this type of optical network connectivity at the World Trade Center in Vancouver.
