CrossKeys to Speak and Host Workshop at IP Conference

Conference to address the control and functionality enabled by Internet-based VPNs;
CrossKeys positioning itself to take advantage of dynamic IP market

LONDON, England (July 11, 2000)-CrossKeys Systems Corporation (Nasdaq: CKEY; TSE:
CKY) today announced it will host a Post-Conference Workshop on "Effective Performance
Measures for Your VPN" at the 3rd International Conference of IP Based VPNs in London,
England.

Jennifer Koussaya, Product Marketing Manager, CrossKeys, will present a seminar on
"Effectively Measuring and Monitoring IP Based Services to Discover if SLAs are Met" on
Wednesday, July 12, 2000. Ms. Koussaya will speak on the evolution and growth of service level
agreements (SLAs); opportunity and growth of Internet protocol (IP) performance measurements;
SLAs for IP services; and end-to-end SLAs.

"CrossKeys is extending its leadership position in service assurance, and performance
management," says Ian McLaren, President and CEO, CrossKeys. "With the increase in IP
services, service providers need a way to accurately measure, and monitor performance.
CrossKeys has addressed these issues with CrossKeys ResolveÒ."

On Thursday, July 13, 2000, CrossKeys will also sponsor a Post-Conference Workshop, "Effective
Performance Measures for Your VPN", led by Jennifer Koussaya, and John Symes, CrossKeys
European Marketing Director. The workshop will explain key performance indicators for the
network to assess the impact of service and hardware choices, and work towards continuous
improvement in the value of an organization's network.

IP has become so common that enterprises and individuals increasingly rely on it for most business
transactions and processes. Commercially introduced as a "cheap" transport and access
mechanism to the World Wide Web (WWW), IP has gone so far as to reshape business models,
information delivery, education, trade, and marketing. From a service provider's perspective, this
demand for services and applications over IP offers an excellent opportunity to extend their
portfolio of service offerings, capture higher margins from these IP services, and broaden their
customer base.

Service providers are offering virtual private networks (VPNs), built on IP, to meet the growing
demand for more cost-effective links. CrossKeys Resolve software matches the increasing
importance of IP in telecom networking.
