I don't remember what we did with "Rat", but I'm sure his funeral wasn't quite as elegant.

I think it might have been a brown bag and wait for garbage day.

Sad to hear....

we had several dogs (that's where my love for dogs comes from) one which hunted cats....its whole breed was known as catkillers..., another one which never stopped eating and occasionally stole french cheese... so much that it got limp because of that.

And the very first dog committed suicide by running into a car when there was not the slightest need to do so...except that the administration then in force forbid pet dogs in the house...

As young children we snapped mice on their tails and whirled them around finally let them go...

Don't know whether rats are allowed here; since the pest rats are somewhat out of season and rat poison is being laid out in every house's cellar.
