From the article: "In 2001, analysts are expecting earnings to rise an additional 15 percent"

This is antithesis of what MrGreenSpan wants. If he gets his way, the analysts will be disappointed.

MGJ: Thanks for the NYT article. I posted the Bloomberg summary of that article a few posts back. I do not question the numbers for this quarter. The issue is what are earnings going forward and to what extent the market will discount that outlook ahead of the event.
