That is a major drag. I trust none of your family is injured? How are the kids dealing with it? My daughter would be devastated if we ran into a deer, raccoon, possum or any other form of wildlife.

Not swerving for a deer or anything else was a very smart move. Many deer are killed on the roads in my area, and without fail the people who are hurt or killed are the ones who take the ditch to avoid Bambi.

I trust that you and yours are well.

Kirk, sorry to hear that. Since we have lived in the "country" Mike has got his share of the deer. For a while there I think he was averaging one a year.....NOT GOOD. (He has some night vision issues........due to lots of laser surgeries on his eyes)

Anyway, do you have "game warning whistles" on your vehicles?? We got our first set when we bought our house..as a house warming gift. Way back when,
they were relatively expensive compared to what they are now......I believe them to be quite effective.

I hope the family is well and not to emotionally shaken.

Jane

oh my!

I'm glad no one was hurt.
That could have been a disaster.

I've only hit a bird lately.......

Growing up in Tahoe, that was one of the things that we learned in driver's ed., don't swerve to miss a deer as you will likely end up in a head on collision or wrapped around a tree.
