BUSINESS WIRE - July 10, 2000 11:16
CLEARWATER, Fla., Jul 10, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Digital Lightwave(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:DIGL), a leading provider of innovative optical networking products and technology, today announced that the company has been included on the list of additions to the Russell 3000(R) Index issued June 23, 2000 by the Frank Russell Company. These companies joined the Russell 3000 Index when it was rebalanced on June 30, 2000. Index membership went into effect July 1, 2000 and remains in place for one year.

The Russell 3000 Index measures the performance of the 3000 largest U.S. stocks based on total market capitalization. Membership in Russell's 21 U.S. equity indexes, which are widely used as benchmarks for both passive and active investment strategies, is determined strictly by market capitalization rankings and style attributes, rather than by subjective opinion or committee decisions. Russell's benchmarks are widely used to evaluate investment managers.
