Twister, Do you have any idea how the cost and maintenance of a newspaper web page compares to the cost of "print" papers? I know James Cramer has said it's very expensive, but I would think online is cheaper than print. The reason I ask is that everyone seems to consider the Internet to be a huge threat to the newspapers' business position. I think there's at least some chance it could mean huge new profits. Here's an example. There's a writer for the Washington Post named Andrew Beyer that covers horseracing. (another passion of mine) I love reading his articles. Before the internet I couldn't find any place near me that sold the Washington Post. Those articles are now available on the Internet. Seems to me that WPO could now have a new customer (me) that was out of reach before. The same is true of many other people around the country and perhaps other English speaking countries. So maybe the competition for WPO has increased, but so have the potential opportunities. I think there's going to be huge value in having certain writers as employees that have national or international appeal in their specialty. The key will be getting the papers on a Palm Pilot or similar device so that you can read them on the bus, train, etc... Any thoughts? Wayne
