Is the Partnership between Cadence and HP knocked SNPS Down?

For HP, the target is Sun Microsystem. Four out of five of users run Cadence software on a Sun Sparc. Now Cadence and HP reach a deal: Cadence will use and promote HP servers and workstations, and HP will use Candence software for its own design work.

However, the alliance is non-exclusive that means Cadence software probably will still use Sun Sparc, and HP probably still have to buy Synopsis/Mentor/Avanti software when needed, and both sides refuse to discuss the financial details of the partnerhsip, which analysts say is too fuzzy to value, according to SJ Mercury News.

People may ask What is the possiblity of a partnership between Synopsis and Sun Microsystem?
