As to the Preterist theolology, something tells me you are not well versed in the matter, but then again neither am I. Nevertheless, because I don't understand it I'm willing to listen and not judge until I know the facts. That will not be an overnight task. There are basically 4 views of interpreting Revelation: -Preterist view, places the events and visions that John witnessed as belonging to the past, particularly to the Roman Empire and the fall of Jerusalem in 70AD -Historicist view, believes that what's written in revelation is some sort of panoramic view of history from the first century to the second coming of Christ. -Symbolic view, this sees revelation portraying the forces of good and evil throughout the entire span of human history. In the end good wins. -Futurist view, basically believes that from chapter 4 on Revelation deals with events at the end times and the second coming of Christ. Not all of the views are cut and dry, there are both conservative and liberal positions in each view, and some overlap. I have done a bit of study on the Symbolic, Futurist, and Historicist views but never even heard of the Preterist until just recently. I would certainly encourage anyone else who is of the Preterist persuasion or any of the other views to post in an intelligent manner so we can REALLY LEARN! Your argument against Emile is unjustifed and should cease immediately! Chris BTW, your accusation of me complaining to Emile was indeed childish but I'm willing to overlook it instead of blasting you and haqi out of your shoes.....SMILE, we have the ability to turn this thread into a place where people would enjoy visiting.
