Allan, BLS reported on Friday that labor market pressures are easing...your folks were hallucinating. perchance had mushroom soup before leaving?

you can test them simply by asking them how much gas prices have increased over the last year. if they name a percentage higher than 14%, you can safely assume mushroom intake to be responsible for all those help wanted signs.

remember, there is no inflation...i'm sure you've heard all those anecdotes about exploding wages wherever one looks...that's what happens when people forget to seasonally adjust their views.

and in case of untoward developments on the price front, why there's always turnip prices waiting to collapse on short notice...

I've quit shopping at certain Home Depot's and supermarkets because they never have more than two or three checkstands open, even at peak times. I'll go somewhere and pay 10% more so I don't have to stand in line for 20 minutes. And I'm the biggest cheapskate on the planet! (*) That's a type of inflation that will never make it to the official numbers.
