Nice profits on MRVC. . . and other opticals. . . took profits on AMD. . .and others today. . . going to re-think some strategies. . . may re-enter some of the same names lower. . .but with different targets and terms. I think we are still underestimating the power of our optical broadband area of specialty. . . If there are inevitable buyouts, mergers, takeovers, etc. . . to come throughout the year. . .which will drive these stocks higher and harder. . . then our trading in and out is not that great an idea. . . .I am going LONGER the optical broadband sector. . . while so many long-term portfolios got slaughtered the first 6 months of 2000, any grouping of optical broadband stocks comes out with positive gains. . . so it is essentially a group of lottery tickets. . .any one of which could hit the big time.

I mean think about it. . . Corning is sold out for the next 5 quarters. . . there is much much more to come from fibre optics. . . moreso than xDSL, which was doomed from the start, due to the hgh cost of upgrading the bandwidth on the nodes. . .

Wireless is still hot. . . and will be strong. . but it is very hard to pick the winners here. . . too many entries. . . I prefer wireless content providers to wireless networks. . .but the real money should be in wireless broadband. . .MCOM, ARTT, etc. This is absolutely the future of wireless.

Costello on CNBC picked wrong stocks to call optical broadband sector. . . someone should clue him in. . .
