Dennis: Of course if the US Gov't, media, and pressure groups were not so well stocked with what might (perhaps unkindly) by called Eurosymp's (or more elegantly "Europhiles"), the US Gov't might get the Europeans to pay some slight attention to the way CDMA and Qualcomm are being frozen out even for 3rd gen and comply with WTO and "fair trade" and even self interest of their consumers as opposed to the guys who buy the European politicians and bureaucrats "free lunches + ", by trade action.

Chance of that is zero probably.

Best.

<Stop clinging to an old out of date comment by Mark Roberts. Subsequent actions, not words from Europe have extinguished that faint hope.>

I'll take my chances Dennis. I think you're the one clinging to old policies from ETSI that are becoming politically incorrect. Europe will have to open up since the mobile networks are going global. They're also going CDMA. Somehow that makes me think Qualcomm is in a very good position.

MicroE

Thanks for the update.

I believe that that the European closed borders issue will not be neglected by the Dep't of Commerce. There is no doubt considerable political pressure being applied in Q's behalf on this point. It's not over.
