WRONG. It is not the Catholic Church that tells the Irish Catholics to blow away the protestants and vice-versa it is not the Protestant Church that tells its members to kill the Catholics.

My point was that MAN himself is the culprit of such atrocities. It is not religion.

The basis of most religions is to be GOOD onto others and to live in peace and harmony.

I was raised Catholic. I acknowledge that during the Crusades (for example) the Church at the time committed abominable atrocities in its attempt to convert the "unbelievers". That was wrong, wrong, wrong. But I do NOT see it as a failure of the religion but rather as a failure of the idiots who ran the show at the time. I also like to think that most people, like myself, have matured to the point where we will never let something like that happen again.

Ignorance is dangerous. Manipulation of the ignorant is catastrophic.
