Go it. Sorry for my implication that you weren't differentiating between industries. I simply took the analogy to be directed at the businesses when in fact you were targeting the thread chat. I do agree that thread tend to head down a direction which is difficult to change... it's like an oil tanker - especially given the number of "buy on the dip's" we've had over the past 5 years.
