I found several rugby-business related stories on a Jeff Muller. They were published by an Australian news service that is archived on Nexis. The news service is called "AAP Newsfeed."

The stories are circa 1997-98, and they described some failed efforts to organize or fund rugby clubs, including the Gold Coast Rugby League. Three different articles described this Jeff Muller as a:

"controversial property developer,"
"controversial entrepreneur,"
"colourful entrepreneur,"

One of these articles mentions
"the Australian Rugby League's 1996 takeover of Jeff Muller's failed private venture."

Another mentions "the ARL revoked the licence of colourful entrepreneur Jeff Muller."

I emphasize that I don't know yet whether it's the same Jeff Muller. Nor do I know why his previous history has caused him to be labeled as "colourful" and "controversial."

The same service had no stories on brother Terrence Edward Muller or wife Lynnette Anne Muller.
