Joe,

<I must have missed this while I was on vacation. Another stepping? I thought the last stepping (April / March timeframe) was suppose to deliver flood of 1GHz parts by June.>

Don't know since when you have been on vacation but this is kind of old news. I posted about existence of this shrink several months back and it has been sampling for a month or so.

<Where did you get the 7.5 Mu number?>

That is my estimate of what AMD could have produced in Q2 (~6.5Mu from Fab25 and ~1Mu from Fab30)

<I don't think Thunderbird and Duron parts made a significant contribution in the last quarter.>

I think Thunderbirds did and Durons didn't.

<I hope the back-to-school market will be terrific, because AMD will have a ot of parts to sell this quarter.>

It shall be. I expect AMD to sell 2+Mu Thunderbirds, 2-3Mu Durons and 2-3u K6s in Q3. As K6-mix goes down, ASPs and profits will go up significantly and Q3 will blow peoples socks off (at least $2+ in EPS).
