mr mark, I've never mentioned that I did NOT re-install the Norton e-mail virus scan after it made it impossible to RECEIVE e-mail after the first install. Norton install told me it would make some changes to the e-mail program but didn't detail them, so I didn't know what to fix. I finally just reinstalled my e-mail program, then NU WITHOUT the e-mail scan.

Some day I'll look for some excitement and try to install Norton's e-mail scan again, paying more attention to details. :)

PS: hotmail automatically scans e-mail attachments using McAfee.
