Michael,
OSX 100 or not, that KEG is tempting looking for a licensed bottom fisher like me.

200k traded no make that 300K in the last half hour or so.

Edit, Hmmmm, now MORE selling coming in and they aren't afraid to sell at the bid either.

UGH.

Best Regards,

Roebear

Re KEG's slide:

Baker Hughes web site reports workover rig activity down a bit in June. Could have scared some holders.

Keg's reaction: it doesn't make a lot of sense given that the drop is modest and seems unlikely to persist. Furthermore, the drop may or may not be due to any lack of activity at KEG.

But then nothing seems to be making sense in the oil patch the last few weeks. Earnings due out soon should be at least very strong for most companies, yet stocks are slumping. Saudi announcement was managed very poorly unless they were directly trying to sew confusion amongst oil traders. Chances are they ticked off all their cohorts in the process. Our political candidates are making clueless comments. Our president is releasing 2mm barrels of oil to help heat New England. Oil stored in a salt dome in Mississippi has a long way to go to get to a Maine or New Hampshire home and it is anybody's guess who has the capacity to refine that oil and when. The Press seems to be overflowing with strange comments reflecting little understanding of events. Many writers are suddenly mouthing off about "alternative fuels" with little idea of the problems faced by most alternative energy technologies.

I have looked at solar (use 1/3 of the worlds metals to build solar receivers and still not get rid of oil ), wind turbines, corn to ethanol ( takes about 800 diesel calories to create 1000 calories of ethanol and a heap of green waste), hydrogen and a few others. I have not yet seen any hint of the economics required to allow them to address the soaring core energy needs of the 21st. century.

Remember the number of people on this planet is booming and each one of those new people would love to have a heated, air conditioned home and readily available transportation ... ie consume lots of energy.

For now, Slider has put his chips on the right spot in this crazy casino.
