Who said it was? It has some scientific basis, a lot better than the alternatives, anyway. You should look up the "theory" of chiropractic sometime, or most other "alternative medicine" things.

At the end of the 20th Century it is still a rudimentary science. That can change dramatically in the next 25 years.
