e-bill, once again you are earning your place in the Blowhards. I don't believe that 'bandit' is used as a term of art in American Jurisprudence. Can you find a law that makes banditing (if that's even a word) a crime? One can also be a bandit by flying an enemy plane or by consorting with bad guys (who also don't have to be officially labeled by a court). There are also one-arm bandits in Las Vegas who are not convicted of crimes. One arm felons exist but they are typically just poor baseball players and don't have cumulative jackpots.
