Whoever committed the crime is clearly a felon. Within the context of court proceedings, it is presumed that someone is innocent until convicted, and therefore one refers to allegations being brought against him. Since one is obliged to honor a verdict only insofar as one does not interfere with the disposition of the person after sentencing, and there are clearly cases where one believes there was a defect in the verdict, one is at liberty to opine that someone is a felon, that is, has committed the crime. Whether or not a given instance is actionable is a separate issue.........
