>>When Algore becomes desperate he will do or say anything it takes to garner votes.

That goes w/o saying. He and his cronies are capable of anything.

The huge, tidal plus that Bush has going for him is that the people know AlGore the Junior as well as they want to and a clear majority do not want him to be President. That and the fact that people really like Bush makes him the prohibitive favorite no matter what the Dems and their media allies try to pull to elect the repellent AlGore the Junior.

Why else does AlGore the Junior keep trying to "reinvent" himself, while hiding from the press?

It is a long way to the finish line, and I would not ordinarily count premature chickens, but it is a splendid situation. Gore should have all the advantages, merely running neck in neck would bode ill, actually running behind most of the year is terrible (for him). Big Labor is irrelevant except for money and some manpower, and the media is somewhat ambivalent about the chances of another scandal ridden administration. I do not think he has the style to make shamelessness work for him, that "sure I'm a rogue, but you love it" twinkle that helped Clinton.......
