Joan, are you sure you speak about the same people? I think QCOM Jacobs is not Irwin Jacobs you refer to as he seems to old IMHO.

I would say that I agree of the Irwin Jacobs, I think you refer to, a quite successful green mailer at the time but poor operator. Aside that Jacobs is not in High Tech at all.

Joan, Several years ago I wondered what the heck Jacobs was doing starting QCOM. He never runs anything himself, much less start something from scratch. Then I saw Dr. Jacobs, the qualcom guy. Having spent some time with Mpls Irwin, I can assure you they are not the same guys. Besides, Mpls Irwin has his hands full figuring out how he can pickup what is left of GreenTree Financial from CNC.
