Idiots who have no experience running a business don't realize that the key, and most important, asset is the guy who sits in the big chair. You pay him what he is worth.

Did anyone quibble about what Michael Jordan got paid, even though he was only one of 5 on the court? Everyone knows he made the team, period.

I have been in the big chair and it has made me the money to dabble on-line in my own small way.

CNC is a multi-billion dollar company. GW can make it another GE Capital in a few years.

It is better to keep you mouth shut when you don't know anything about paying people rather than open your mouth so everyone can see that you had your ass kicked up to your tonsils.

That's not too different from what I guessed on June 28 in Reply-#1415.

Considering various startup opportunities and the difficulties here, I estimate any total package offered to Wendt will be for at least 15 million shares, with 5 million a grant, and the balance at exercise prices as low as $5 per share. It could go as high as 25 m, especially [if] the exercise prices scale up. This would not be cheap. And, if it's not a done deal, Conseco or Dow Jones negotiated into Wendt's hand by reporting that Conseco had "selected" him.

donjuan, time to cover shorts has finally arrived!! My take:

-Wendt got a richly deserved package .

-He has a reputation to defend:He will turn CNC around.

-Even his old boss Welch, still trusts him ! ! : he
preferred CNC options to cash !!!
He knows
that Gary can turn paper into gold !!! ( better than he can <vbg> )
Don't you love it???

-His pay is performance based: The more CNC goes up, the more he makes.

A win win contract for all, Wendt, CNC, GE, CNC long-stockholders.

One group however obviously here got the deep shaft

CNC Shorts .

Time to cover Amigos,

cheers

TA

PS As soon as CNC gets over 12 I am buying more shares to
establish a n e w day-trading position

Looks like a lot of longs will be bailing out in the next few days.

They gave Wendt $45,000,000, they gave him over three million shares of stock, they gave him tons of options, and they gave 10 million warrants to GE.

The SEC should really investigate this. CNC shareholders are getting fleeced.
