Before this thing is over, I'd bet we'll see a significantly larger discount - one that will ebb and flow as each tidbit of news come out speculating about whether the deal will be approved.

I disagree on that point. I think the discount (20%) is at about its largest that we will see in the coming months. It should trade between about 10% to 20% over the coming months as speculation on the likelyhood of approval goes back and forth.

I am shocked that JDSU gave a 50% premium on the SDLI merger. That is showing no regard for the JDSU stockholder. I will vote against the merger when it comes to the stockholders and I told the CFO of JDSU how I felt about it. Anyone that agrees with me should call him. He is: Anthony R. Muller, EVP and CFO of JDS Uniphase and his phone number is 408-434-1800.

Tec, I think you are giving some pretty sound advice.

John

The discount will ebb and flow, however the natives are getting kinda restless, and you're starting to see some negative reaction to such a high premium.

You're down over 25% in last couple of days (so am I...).....and this is going to be hell on wheels for a while. I think I choose to bow out, and let it go down, and then buy back in.
