*to add to my confusion.*
as i understand it....PacBell spun of the DSL portion of their Sucky Service....(why would you spin off a service that offers free [questionable] installation,,, free modems,, low margins,, poor service, red tape, buracracy [up the ying yang],,high demand,,...I could go on)....
Now,,, if you call PacBell,,, they can just laugh at you...

FWIW, now that the CHTR-ATT swap fell through, both claim they are continuing with their upgrades in this area. ATHM might be available in U City in a few months, but in the city? Ha!
