Here's a quote from Michael Brush's column for MSN Money Central dated July 10,
"Remember that if the numbers do get cut, it pays to know why. Earnings estimates have come down at two companies I've featured which make products that reduce broadband congestion--Extreme Networks and F5 Networks. The downward estimates look bad, and the stocks have come in sharply. Dig deeper and you find that the numbers were reduced for reasons that don't have a big impact on the underlying strength of these companies. ...F5 adjusted its tax rate upwards. The bottom line: Investing by the numbers can be convenient, but you always need to know what's driving them. So these two might pop yet."
