I can create and explain enough to satisfy myself, and I don't need to satisfy anyone else. Humans may or may not have a capacity for faith that needs to be filled, but I see no reason to believe that religious fantasies are the only or the best way to fill that need. What's negative about not needing religion?

do something opposite from your endless diatribe of negativity. As Steven often says, geography always gives him the last word for the day. Geography, in addition to my sleep patterns, seems to give me the first read of the day. I always look forward to seeing what Steven had to say the day before. His posts are invariably thoughtful, informed, and well written, and contain what appears to me to be a thoroughly wholesome outlook on life. I just went back and re-read the last few to see if I could find anything that smacks of diatribe or negativity and I can't. I don't know what it is that you're seeing. The guy makes me smile. Karen

Goodness, not only do you see sexism and racism where they do not exist you see NEGATIVITY where it does not exist. Not only that but you find an ENDLESS DIATRIBE of Negativity. To quote one of my favorite toons: Son you is, I say, you is, seeing things. Steven is one of the least negative people I know. I can't remember ever reading a negative post of his. He has written about depressing situations, but never in a negative manner. And he certainly wasn't negative here. I can't decide whether you just don't care that you say really stupid and totally illogical things, or if you don't realize you are saying totally stupid illogical things. I wonder which it is? The world may never know.
