a set of wiper blades run $10 to $12 .therefore .50 is about 5 % to 6 %. still fair if you consider the state of florida gets 7% of my sales as tribute.

They're looking for 2% of the selling price of the memory. As far as the memory industry is concerned - that's the whole ball game.

The big memory companies like Samsung and Micron each have over a thousand memory patents. You guys think that an industry that relies upon over 5,000 patents is going to turn over 20% of its profits (2% of the selling price) to rambus for those 6 or 7 erroneously granted patents. It's not gonna happen. There may be some arrangement eventually that results in some payment to Rambus, but it won't support a $10 Billion dollar market cap - it may not support a $100 Million dollar market cap.
