My position is not anti-intellectual. I just do not have an axe to grind as does the food processing industry.

It has been shown, with objective science, that artificial vitamins (mostly those derived from coal tars) and minerals do not metabolize in the human body the same way and with the same beneficial effect as vitamins found naturally or derived naturally from foods. Yet cereals, breads, "nutrition" bars and many other processed, packaged foods routinely have artificial vitamins and/or minerals sprayed on to them on assembly lines (such as "Total" cereal) and then are touted as having all these essential nutrients.

Bah! In many cases the body cannot even process those "essential" nutrients.

The same thing is happening with the radiation treatment. The cells of food are being damaged (just as human cells are damaged when a patient undergoes radiation therapy for cancer), and vitamins and other nutrients are being diminished and/or destroyed.

I do not trust the government politically, economically, nor medically. I certainly will not trust them with my food.
