It remains perplexing that IDTI's stock price continues to remain substantially ahead of CY, a trend that goes on today.

You must've loved today's action then.. here's a recent SmartMoney screen (6/28) singling CY as an upcoming standout semiconductor issue to have:

As a result of the booming demand, companies in the Dow Jones semiconductor sector are expected to see collective earnings in the second quarter increasing 81% from a year ago, First Call's Crooks said.

Two of the semiconductor and semiconductor-related companies our screen picked out as solid moneymakers are Cypress Semiconductor (CY), which is expected to post earnings gains of 260% in this quarter vs. the same quarter in 1999, and TelCom Semiconductor (TLCM), whose EPS growth is expected to be 90%.

Cypress's biggest business is SRAM, a type of memory chip that can temporarily store data without bottlenecks or delays. Because SRAM consumes less power than the DRAM chip and is about 10 times faster, it is in high demand in the fast-growing networking, mobile equipment and cell phone markets, said Lehman Brothers' Dan Niles in a recent research note. Prices for SRAM chips are also going up, he said. smartmoney.com

Consider yourself in early.. cheers!
