Hi Mr.Mark, I do floss........once a year, oh woe is me !!I feel my teeth and my gigabits falling out now. LOL Well I did defrag and run scan disk before I installed the game, at there recommendation.I rechecked my lap top and it has 64 ram also. I clear cache and temp files when things seem to be running on the wacky side, maybe once every month or two. I have McAfee anti virus, it's on my start menu and sets next to the clock waiting on me but I have never used it.My lap top has Win 98 and my desk top has Win 95B.I would have to say the performance is only noticeable during the game.We can play the pc,modem to modem or meet on the internet and play people from all over the world....all scenarios run slow on the desk top. By the way they both have MMX and the desk top is about 3 years old.Both pc's are Gateway. It is such a noticeable difference I am amazed .When I go into devise manager under for the lap top I see 3 items: Sound,Video and Game controllers 1.ES1879 Control Interface (WDM) 2.ES1879 Plug and Play Audio Drive (WDM) 3.Game Port Joystick When I highlight each one and look at properties it says they are working properly. I think the desk top had different items listed but said the same thing about working.I am work now but will check tonight. If business was'nt so slow I would just buy a new one but I have to tighten the belt till fall. Thanks for taking the time to respond. Acyberguy....I'm lost in space....AGAIN !
