August,

people are looking for something that might have been gone a while ago, by their(my) own doing.

I have personally unbookmarked threads by accident.

But that would not explain the fact that the option to bookmark it was missing.

Have fun,
Phil

re: lost SubjectMarks - another possible explanation

During the first day or two of the recent bugfest, when the subject marks were all out of order, I saw this bug at work: clicking the number, "1" or "2" or whatever, indicating the number of unread messages, had the effect of removing that thread from my subject mark list.

This transitory bug, now long gone (I think), may account for some of the missing subject marks.

When the craziness first started I had a few bookmarked threads disappear. All it took to get them back was tracking down and opening the thread, and the bookmark reappeared showing the correct number of un-read posts. The only thing that bothers me(as I keep a significant # of threads bookmarked) is that I may of lost some less active ones and not noticed.
