Many futures brokers operate like "fly-by-night" outfits unless you are an institution. The typical case is poor management of computer availability and no backup telephone support. Interactive Brokers seemed to solve their computer problems that they took their time working on. And fill reports are the fastest with them. And their round trip cost is $9.95 for the SPOO e-mini. But you are on your own if you need their telephone backup support. PFG Best has the best software and implements stops on Globex instead of their own system which has its advantages and disadvantages. Their telephone support is excellent to sometimes simply outstanding. One problem I had with a person on the trading desk was immediately resolved with profuse apologies from his supervisor and manager. And the bugs they had with their PC based order entry appear to have been resolved. Their software is very good, much better than IBs. The round trip cost with PFG is $12.95. Hope this helps!
