On the convertables Cramer was discussing they are called "floorless" although Cramer may not have mentioned it in his article.

Visit the floorless thread for more of a description. Some companies can do well once they come off the floorless VLNC, ANCR and WSTL come to mind but others can be in trouble. Look @ MSTR now.

WIND's convertable is not a floorless but the Cramer article referenced is a discussion on the subject. The main point is you don't want to be invested long in a company with a floorless security.
