CATech,
Things reversed today when Costello emphatically stated the obvious from Times Square -- per an analyst report Q would make WCDMA asics and Q would receive royalties on all CDMA flavors. Dr. J's statements in the Bloomberg piece that hit after hours were positive (larger chip market in 3G). It's all pretty obvious to those that have followed the fundamentals, but maybe it has to be spelled out at the 2nd grade level to the unwashed masses. Whatever, I'm not calling a bottom, but it will be interesting to see if the Houses have reloaded during this weakness. I know I have (although I felt like puking when I placed the buy at 51 and change). Good luck to you sir (or ma'am)!

CAtechtrader. OK, reading between the lines, don't you believe that if First International and Cherish have signed, then QCOM probably is holding contracts from Compaq, Dell, Gateway, IBM and just about everyone that makes laptops in the US to release prior to earnings. We know from Rocket that the there is supposed to be a Ford/QCOM JV called Telematic signed over a month ago for a ONSTAR clone.

I think there may be a barrage of pleasant surprises leading up to 7/19 earnings release.

With all this horsesh#t all around, there must be a poney somewhere.

Note that last Q trade after hours at 7:49 was 55 3/4 up from a 52 close. I normally don't pay much attention to after hours because the market is so thin but this 3 3/4 up trend is a little unusual after such a dismal day spent scaring the sh#t out of the week hands.

Who knows, maybe someone thinks they know something.
