Rich, Gizmo - may I intrude. We took our daughter to LV when she was 4. I stayed with her while my husband and mother went out. <g> If I wanted to gamble, I had to leave her in a babysitting area. There are many family activities there now, so that is not the issue. Rather, there appear to be just adults going to this Pifferfest, and we'd all like everyone to join us and have a wonderful time. And little children are not permitted in near the gambling area. That's all.

And Kirk has nicknames for everyone, except me. Now I feel left out.

Rich1, I'm sorry you feel that way. I thought we were friends and all the above 'insults' were certainly not meant to be construed as such. I do believe that washing kid's hands prevents illness. We did kid about you having a beautiful and younger wife at what I thought was your cue. I certainly thought that you knew the name "Rico" was meant as an affectionate term which means Richard or Rich in Spanish. I believe I even asked you once if it bothered you and you replied "NO". I also thought it was clear that I understand the position you are in with regards to LV since you have an important birthday but you don't want to miss meeting everyone. Anyway I'm sorry that this has happened and I won't post to you anymore. I guess what I consider to be my "sense of humor" is not always appreciated by some.

regards,

Kirk

Rich,

I wanted to take a moment to tell you how off base you were this afternoon. I was in disbelief when I read your post. Not only did it make Gizmo feel bad but it made you look foolish as well. Over the months and years we have been posting on the OT thread we as a group have become like a small family. With this type of atmosphere comes some teasing and comments made in jest. That is the very thing that makes the thread both unique and fun. It’s a place where we should all check the political correctness at the door as it serves as nothing more than lightning rod that unnecessarily intensifies the thread. Kirk meant nothing by his comment and I think it's a real shame that you publicly and wrongfully attacked him.
