Prudential Securities Energy Analyst, James M. Whipkey, Launches Research Coverage

NEW YORK, July 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Prudential Securities Incorporated today announced that James M. Whipkey, Senior Vice President and Senior Analyst at Prudential Securities, has launched coverage of the oil and gas exploration and production (E&P) sector. The companies in his universe are Apache Corporation (APA), Evergreen Resources (EVER), HS Resources (HSE), Louis Dreyfus Natural Gas (LD), Nuevo Energy (NEV), Newfield Exploration (NFX), Ocean Energy (OEI) and Spinnaker Exploration (SPNX).

Michael,

I have to admit that it's a great feeling being off margin after 15 months.

I was trying to keep my margin below 35%, but then OEI fell into the 12's, and CLB dropped 45%. I was lucky to have picked up 20,000 shares of CLB at 16 11/16 thanks to Commander Cricket's post for which I will always be grateful. I ended up selling all the CBL shares between 18.75-19.25 which was a little soon, but a great short term profit.
