Whenever they are presented with facts they tend to enter a phase of denial. The latest numbers from Intel have thrown them beyond denial and into madness. If Rambus announces tomorrow that "hey, we were just kidding, our technology is overpriced and it really does suck compared to SDRAM" they'd probably go postal. No more crutches for their fantasy would be left. All the rest have been knocked over.
