I think Thailand was the first to go in May of 1997. PG and/or G warned in early August and the big caps corrected. Oil, semis, and small caps kept surging into October. One of the other reasons I make the comparison is that the Utilities index is not going down in advance of the Industrials. In October 1997, they went down together. So, unlike the other corrections of the past year, the Dow and Nasdaq should correct together. 1997 was the first time the PPT charge was made publicly.

I have 75 percent sell signals on stocks in the S&P 100 and in the Nasdaq 100, and 65 percent in the broad market (4200 stocks). Like your signal report, I'm running out of stocks to buy. Steel is about the only one left.
