JDN, OT

If they did away with it, why did I send them a check a couple of weeks ago <g>? You may be thinking of the impact tax on new vehicles or vehicles brought into the state, I believe they found that unconstitutional (and gave refunds). Or maybe the intangible is gone after 1999 tax year, I hope so.

INTC looking good,

John

JDN,
RE:"Dear John: No, I believe they just did away with the intangible tax a couple months ago."

The FL intangile tax was lowered from $2 per 1000 to $1.5 per 1000 this year. Still I don't know why people put up with it. It's basically a tax on savings principal...
Some people don't pay it...little do they know that the brokerage houses and mutual fund companies report to the state....

I continued to your next note...I hope you are right about the elimination of the tax. Where did you see this? If true you made my day too...!

Jim
