I don't know, but there is still substantial debate among conservatives about the correct way to proceed. The ultimate goal is the virtual elimination of the IRS, though. Even those who would continue with it in some form want to get rid of the need for audits through simplification, either a flat- tax or a three- rate tax, and the elimination of deductions.........
