IMO, we're only adding to the problem by repeating news that has already been reported and addressed by AMD and GTW.

Scot,

are we ever! Look at the stock in the last 10 minutes!

Scot, IMO, when Gateway tells me there's a recall, I want AMD to deny it, and educate Gateway reps, or confirm it.

I don't know why Compaq would make that statement if there were a recall-- although, the yahoo poster said Compaq quoted him a 30-day wait for their 1GHz Tbird system.

I will post a response from Toni Beckham as soon as I get one.

Believe me-- I would LOVE for this to be simply a matter of a VERY confused Gateway technical rep, but I had a *substantial* investment in AMD, and I'll risk losing a few points of upside today while I wait for an official response.

Scot:

Agreed...Old news...GTW problem...I'm far more alarmed about that $1.5 billion AMD Q2 revenue rumour that is circulating...I don't know if I'll be able to deal with having put forward such a pessimistic (in a relative sense) revenue projection of only $1.31 billion in Goutama's epscontest, should the $1.5 billion rumour prove authentic...
