Kash, yeah, thanks-- some folks are pissed at me on the other thread, but hell...

I'm not going to pretend everything is fine when I'm hearing things like that out of Gateway.

I'd still like it if other folks would call GTW, and report what they hear back. And write or call AMD IR. Volume of inquiry might help get this resolved.

Doug

Kash- you've made a mistake.

In times like these one should buy puts to protect their position, but not mindlessly bail. I bought july 75 puts to match some one my call positions. I assume that you meant that you sold your CALLS, or covered your puts, but not sold your puts. NOw is the time to be bullish on AMD calls, and perhaps by some puts as a straddle. Anyone here who sells out of the money calls as risk management is making a mistake. Buying OTM puts is a better defense IMHO.

Kash, >>I dumped all my shares

Look at the bright side, SNDK is up so sentiment of flash must be doing better! AMD lost quite a few points due to last week's SSB report on flash.

I will wait for the official version from GTW or AMD, this is a little weird, last week AMD said: "the error is specific to Gateway systems, not the AMD microprocessor lineup or its complementary chip sets."

Right now the stock seems to be reacting to panics.
