Karin, re:"Death taxes..."

Karin,

I don't have an opinion on death taxes specifically, unless I can see it with the bigger overall tax picture. There are so many taxes and credits and special interests surrounding them that it is really hard to discern what is fair. Ir my tax is removed but the other guy loses his house because of it, it is not too fair.
In regards to Bob Brinker, I thought I heard him say last weekend that capital gains taxes should be eliminated. He said, and maybe I am wrong here, that the money has already been taxed when you earned it, so why should it be taxed again. This surprised me.

My understanding is all earnings are taxed, whether or not you used already taxed money to create it.

Could you please explain the death tax.

In my opinion, and thanx!

Jon :)
