That was a letter written by Paul to try to get the Roman authorities who were claiming the christian church was subversive (and trying to prove it did not support Roman authority or law), off his back.

BTW, any "god" that instructs people to pay taxes from the wealth they themselves create is no god in my book.

<<<This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God's servants, who give their full time to governing.>>>

Oh God help us if the authorities are "God"s servants".
There is no hope. Where in the Constitution is the authority? For me, I have more faith in the Constitution than in an interpretation

of the bible.

<<<Give everyone what you owe him: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue;if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.>>>>>>

If that is you wish, more power to you. Give all the tax monies you want to those crooks in the government. I would rather give on my own to whomever I deem needy. You cannot believe that the government is efficient? I have little respect for them. Bill Clinton is president and the fish rots at the head, as Dukakis once said.
Have a good day
daverose

Who died and made Paul god? What authority does he have?
